RATES
The rates are in Canadian dollars ($CAD) and include taxes. Taxes are applied depending on the participant’s place of residence; details will appear on the invoice.

Only persons registered to the Ecocity World Summit can participate in the conference activities.

The early-bird rate will only apply to participants for which payment will have been received by the Secretariat no later than June 5, 2011.
Tax Exemption
To be entitled to tax exemption, you must imperatively send a copy of your exemption certificate to the Ecocity World Summit 2011 Secretariat.

Student Package
You have to provide a copy of a valid student card to the Ecocity World Summit 2011 Secretariat.
Registration Fees
The registration fees for the Ecocity World Summit Package and Discount Packages include the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception on Monday, access to Keynote Sessions and Concurrent Sessions, Breaks and Training Workshops all week long. The fees also include a transport card for a period of five days provided by the Montréal Transportation Corporation (STM), giving access to the subway, bus and the shuttle 747 to the airport.
The registration fees for the Daily Package include the Keynote Sessions, Concurrent Sessions and Breaks for the selected day.
Registration to Workshops and Design Charrettes
Please be advised that given the large number of registrations received for the workshops and design charrettes, registration to these activities will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, with priority given to those who have paid in full.
Since availability is limited, we encourage participants wishing to attend these activities to make their payment as soon as possible.
Green Contribution
When you register, you may to choose to contribute financially to the Ecocity World Summit 2011 eco practices. Donations of $10 CAD will be used to compensate the effects of the event on the environment. Thank you in advance.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
All invoices issued must be paid before the event. If a participant wishes to cancel his or her registration, he or she must advise the Secretariat in writing. Not doing so means the invoice remains payable even if the person does not attend the event.
- Payments must be made in Canadian dollars ($CAD).
- Payments can be made by credit card (secure page on the Summit website), cheque or bank transfer.
Outstanding amounts will be collected when registering onsite. A copy of the bank transfer (or other proof of payment) will be required in the event of registration fees not being credited to the Summit account in time. A credit card and signature may be required as guarantee of payment.
Payment by credit card
Only Visa and MasterCard credit cards are accepted. The transaction will appear under the name Opus 3 inc. / Ecocity 2011. In the event of a calculation error, Opus 3 inc. reserves the right to change the total to be paid.Payment by cheque
All cheques must be accompanied by the transaction number (which appears on the invoice, above the invoicing address, and starts with “ECO”) and name of the registered person so as to accelerate registration processing and to ensure payments are correctly credited. Payment by bank transfer can be made up until July 22, 2011. Please read and follow the instructions below carefully, so as to accelerate the registration process and to ensure transfers are correctly credited.1. Upon receipt of your form by the Secretariat, you will receive a confirmation of your registration as well as an invoice.
2. Please add $25 CAD to the total amount as indicated on the invoice to cover bank administration fees.

CHANGES TO YOUR REGISTRATION FILE
Participants must contact the Ecocity World Summit 2011 Secretariat if they wish to change their registration once it has been completed on-line.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
All requests for cancellation of registration for the Ecocity World Summit 2011 must be sent in writing to the Secretariat.
Refund of Summit registration fees
- A fee of 20% of the total amount will be deducted for all requests for refund of registration fees received before July 22, 2011 (11:59 p.m. Montréal time).
- No refund will be made after July 23, 2011 (00:00 Montréal time).
Refund of registration fees for activities (mobile workshops, design charrettes, Local Food Fest)
No refund will be made unless the activity is cancelled by the Summit organizers.
Note: No refund will be processed at the Summit site.
In the event that the Summit is cancelled, only registration fees will be refunded. The Summit organizers will not be responsible for travel and accommodation costs.
Name substitution
Participants who are registered can be replaced if they provide a written authorization and pay a fee of $50 CAD, in addition to the complete registration fee. Their entire registration file will then be transfered to their replacement. All substitution requests must be e-mailed or faxed to the Ecocity World Summit 2011 Secretariat, before the Summit.
Please note that registration packages cannot be divided between two or more participants. As such, only the participant whose name appears in the registration file may pick up the badge on-site and no further substitutions will be allowed once the badge has been picked up.
